Yarn: Spinning Wool and a Good Story

July 5th-9th

  • Starts Jul 5
  • 399 US dollars
  • Gilbert's Corner

Service Description

Go Somewhere: This week, little explorers will travel to a sheep farm where they will be able to learn about where wool comes, right from the furry source. While wandering through the farm, explorers will hear stories about its history and four-legged inhabitants, pausing to share stories and experiences from their own lives and imaginations. Meet Someone: A farmer will walk us through the process and art of wool-making while a local artisan will share how they use wool to create beautiful works of art that tell a compelling story. Make Something: Explorers will write an original story and craft a complimentary piece of textile art -- capping off their week-long experience by sharing tales and tapestries around a campfire with friends. Pick-Up/Drop-Off: Gilbert's Corner -- Parking lot next to the roundabout at the intersections Route 15 and Route 50
